THE U.S. ARMY

The Army wanted to embrace and extend the spirit of its “Be All You Can Be” campaign by creating a new initiative that would resonate with young people and highlight the core values of the Army in a meaningful and engaging way. The goal was to recognize and honor student athletes who exemplify the values of perseverance, leadership, and selfless service.

THE BRAINBOX SOLUTION

To address this challenge, Brainbox developed the Heart of a Warrior (HOAW) program. This initiative was designed to celebrate and recognize student athletes who embody the Army’s values and demonstrate the spirit of a warrior. The program aimed to honor those who:

  • DO WHAT IS RIGHT

  • ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS

  • NEVER QUIT OR ACCEPT DEFEAT

  • HELP OTHERS EVERY DAY

The campaign was actively promoted across major social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram. Engaging content such as posts, stories, and videos showcased the program’s objectives, success stories, and the nomination process. The winners of the campaign were also featured on social media, along with their plaques.

Community Voting

BRAINBOX created a website with a secure and intuitive voting platform where friends, family, and community members could vote for their favorite nominees. During the 30 day voting period, supporters were encouraged to vote daily or as often as possible to show their support. To ensure fairness, measures were put in place to prevent fraudulent activity.

AWARDS

CUSTOM PLAQUES

Each nominated student athlete received a custom-designed plaque to commemorate their nomination. The plaque featured the nominee’s name, picture, school, and date that the award was presented. It also has the area in which they were nominated, for example “the Massachusetts area,” and a description of the qualities that the award recognizes.

    • The plaques served as a tangible recognition of the students’ hard work and dedication, proudly displayed as a testament to their exemplary character.

EVENT RESULTS

The Heart of a Warrior campaign has made a significant impact over the past three years:

  • Nominees: 24 outstanding student athletes were nominated, each demonstrating exceptional qualities aligned with the program’s values. These nominees came from around the country, highlighting the widespread nature of the campaign.
  • Votes: The campaign generated over 6,000 votes from friends, family, and community members, reflecting strong community engagement and support.
  • Recognition: $2,000 was given out in the form of scholarships to the nominated students, providing them with meaningful recognition and financial support for their future endeavors. This encouraged them to continue living with the Warrior Spirit and inspired others to do the same.

The Heart of a Warrior campaign has effectively extended the “Be All You Can Be” spirit by recognizing and celebrating student athletes who embody the Army’s values. Through a well-designed nomination and voting process, the program has engaged thousands of individuals and provided meaningful rewards to deserving young leaders. The success of the campaign underscores the importance of honoring those who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and a commitment to helping others, aligning closely with the Army’s mission and values.
