Great American Rivalry Series Recognized with 2018 WebAward for Standard of Excellence in Sports Websites

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Great American Rivalry Series is proud to announce it has been recognized with the Standard of Excellence Award in Sports Websites by the 2018 WebAwards.

Entering its 15th season, the Great American Rivalry Series has covered more than 700 games in 44 states throughout the country. Wrapped in tradition, these annual battles excite entire communities, while celebrating the schools, their teams, and their fans. We Know Friday Nights™.

The recent redesign of greatamericanrivalry.com launched in January of 2018 and is the only place to access the best in high school football rivalries. Featuring rivalry games dating back to 2006, the website is an online encyclopedia for all things rivalry and hosts exciting content related to the most intense high school football rivalries across the country.

Great American Rivalry Series founder Rick Ford notes that, “In 2018, we are celebrating 15 years of recognizing America’s great high school football rivalries and all the traditions, players bonfires, pep rallies and parades they include. These very special games bring communities together every year to watch their teams compete and some have done so for more than one hundred years.” As we like to say, “We Know Friday Nights™.”

The 15th anniversary season of The Great American Rivalry Series has been one of pushing boundaries. Several games have been broadcasted live on Facebook Watch, and new and exciting content is being produced daily. The newly redesigned greatamericanrivalry.com is part of that boundary pushing.
